On Monday Mrs Allan’s class were visited by Durham University’s History Outreach officer. John brought objects from our past with him for the children to handle and they enjoyed being ‘Museum Detectives’. They then compared two maps of the local area to see how it had changed from 1889 to 1938. The children rose to the challenge and had a fantastic afternoon.
