This week, 6FH and 6RF visited the Sunderland Nissan Plant to take take part in the Monosukuri Caravan workshop. The children had a fabulous time and were given a real behind-the-scenes insight into life at Nissan: they designed and built their own vehicles, worked as part of a production line, toured the training workshop and even raced micro F1 cars! They had a lot of fun training for life as an engineer by learning to use actual tools used on the production line.  The children were also given the opportunity to dip their toes into Japanese culture. They practised their Japanese vocabulary and took part in a welcome ceremony, where they received a traditional Daruma doll. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and an amazing experience was had by all.
